Music publishers sue Anthropic

Music publishers Sony Music and Warner Chappell’s lawsuit against Anthropic led the window, with multiple reports and community discussion focused on claims that Claude was trained on pirated lyrics and other protected works. OpenAI’s plan to end direct model access for SpaceX-owned Cursor also drew sustained news and video coverage, while its Hugging Face incident report continued to attract independent scrutiny.

Elsewhere, OpenAI urged stronger California AI-safety rules, Together AI compared GLM-5.3 with its cheaper Flash variant, and videos covered AI-generated fraud and Anthropic’s Model Hardware Standard. Community discussion also highlighted a reported Anthropic billing issue, ChatGPT adoption in Baltimore schools and tools for protecting secrets before using chatbots.
